Essential pre-delivery training for practitioners preparing to use laser therapy safely, confidently and clinically from day one.
Clinical Foundations Training is the starting point for practitioners and clinics beginning their journey with Heal With Laser. This course provides the core knowledge, safety principles, treatment concepts and practical structure needed before commencing laser therapy in clinical practice.
This is not designed to make a practitioner an expert overnight. It is designed to give them a safe, clear and clinically useful foundation so they can begin using their device with confidence, understand the basic principles behind treatment, and know how to progress into further Academy support.
Who this is for?
Clinical Foundations Training is designed for:
- New Heal With Laser device owners
- Practitioners preparing for device delivery
- Clinic teams who need a shared starting point
- Practitioners who have not previously used MLS laser therapy
- Clinics wanting to ensure staff understand the basics before treating patients
- Practitioners who want a structured introduction before progressing into membership or accreditation
This training is especially useful for clinics with multiple team members, as it gives everyone the same starting language, safety awareness and clinical framework.
What this course is designed to do?
This course is designed to help practitioners understand the basics of clinical laser therapy before they begin using the device in practice.
By the end of the course, practitioners should have a clearer understanding of:
- What laser therapy is and how it is used clinically
- How MLS laser therapy fits into patient care
- Basic treatment safety and governance
- How to prepare the clinical environment
- How to explain laser therapy to patients
- How to think about treatment areas and dosage principles
- How to use the Heal With Laser Clinical Standards™ as a framework
- How to begin applying structured protocols safely
- What to observe during the first few weeks of clinical use
- What to bring to the early clinical review session
The aim is not simply to show which buttons to press. The aim is to help practitioners start thinking clinically from the beginning.

What this course is not.
Clinical Foundations Training is not intended to be the complete Academy experience.
It is not:
- A full advanced protocol library
- A substitute for clinical reasoning
- A guarantee of clinical outcomes
- A replacement for professional judgement
- A complete accreditation pathway
- A specialist training programme
It is the starting point. It prepares practitioners to begin safely and then progress into more structured support through membership and accreditation.
Recommended next step after completion
After completing Clinical Foundations Training, practitioners should begin early device use and participate in their clinical review Zoom approximately 2 to 3 weeks after commencing treatment.
From there, the recommended next step is usually:
Foundational Membership for ongoing resources and protocol support, or
Professional Membership for live education, case discussion, research translation and accreditation preparation.
